Precautions VOLUME For your driving safety, keep the volume low enough to be aware of road and traffic conditions. LIQUIDS Do not place drinks or water on or near the unit, cas- settes or CDs. If liquids drop on the unit cassettes or CDs, it can cause damage.
Precautions 4 CAUTIONS DURING PLAYBACK Playing a CD while driving on a very bumpy road may result in skips. This will not scratch the CD or damage the player.
Pr oper Care of Y our CDs 5 - PROPER HANDLING Handle CDs as shown. Do not drop CDs. Hold CDs so you will not leave fingerprints on the surface. If the surface is scratched, it may cause the pickup to skip signal tracks. Do not put tape, paper, or gummed labels on the CD.
Pr oper Care of Y our CDs 6 - NEVER A TTEMPT THE FOLLO WING Do not grip or pull out the CD while it is being pulled back into the player by the automatic reloading mechanism. - CA UTION FOR NEW CDS When a new CD is inserted into the player, the CD may fail to play after initial loading.

For operation, refer to the audio system section of the Owner’s Manual for your radio.
CD Changer Operation 8 LOADING THE CD (con’t) Disc status LED CD Loading Slot 2 Notes: • Repeat steps ¡ and ™ to load CDs in other disc numbers. • The unit may go into CD eject mode when it detects improper CD loading. Wait 2 seconds before inserting the CD for loading.

Press one of the buttons (1–6) to select the disc number for the CD you want to eject.

CD Changer Operation 12 ILLUMINA TION Eject Button 3SEC 1 The illumination turns ON-OFF each time you press and hold the eject button for 3 seconds or longer.
SHIPPING BRACKET Shipping bracket Caution card A bracket is attached to this unit to protect it from shocks during shipment. Be sure to remove this bracket before installing this unit in your car (before connecting). Be careful not to injure yourself on the edges or other parts of the bracket when removing it.
In Case of Dif ficulty 14 If you encounter a problem, please review the items in the guide. This guide will help you isolate the problem if the unit is at fault. Otherwise, make sure the rest of your system is proper- ly connected or consult your authorized Honda dealer.
In Case of Dif ficulty 15 ERROR MODE E - 0 1 INDICATION CD Changer malfunction. Press the eject button, press one of the disc number buttons (1–6), switch the control unit source OFF once, or switch to another source other than CD and then switch back to CD.
16 In Case of Dif ficulty SYMPTOMS ■ Skips. ■ Stuck on one track. ■ CD ejects during play. CAUSE Scratches. 1 Fingerprint marks or dust. (Unclean sur- face.) 2 SOLUTION • Handle CD by edge only. • Keep CD clean by using a cleaning kit specifically designed for CDs.
Switching the address setting 17 Disc Number Buttons 1 Notes: • When two or more CD Changers are connected, correct operation is not possible if the same address setting is used for more than one unit. Be sure to set addresses correctly as indicated above.
