11 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. system maintenance This system needs no specific maintenance beyond r emote control battery replacement. The LCD r emote is pow ered b y a 1.5V AAA batter y . The Battery Level indicator has four level indicators that serve as a visual indication of batter y charge.

20 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. out of range notification If a command is issued from the r emote, but the remote is set to the incorrect v ehicle or is beyond the range of the vehicle to receiv e the command, the remote r esponds with 3 set of 2 quick beeps and the icon will flash 3-times.

The triggered sequence is 30 seconds of constant siren and indicator light flashing. ➤ If a door is opened, the system will immediately trigger .
25 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. one-time bypass This feature stops the alarm fr om arming or activating any outputs that are pr ogrammed to activate when the alarm is armed. One-time bypass will defeat the follo wing actions: P assive arming: If programmed ON the alarm will not arm itself .
26 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. transmitter sensor disable T o temporarily disable a sensor input, arm the system. P ress the button again and the system will respond with 3 indicator flashes. This means all sensor warn-away triggers are b ypassed.
27 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. high security disarm This security system offers H igh Security D isarm. H igh S ecurity Disarm is a featur e that makes it possible to silence and reset the system while it is triggering, without disarming the system.

In or der to disarm without a transmitter , you must have the vehicle ’ s ignition key , know wher e the V alet switch is located, and have the PIN code.

(If door was held open for longer than 3 minutes the interior light will not illuminate.) full The interior light activates for 30-seconds after seeing door closure, ignition, or security disarm.

I t detects any faulty switches and sensors and prev ents them from disabling the entire system.

If five chirps are hear d, a zone was trigger ed so many times that N uisance P revention ® Circuitry has bypassed that zone.

This applies to all states of the system including arm, disarm, A utoimmobilised, VRS ® , and V alet M ode.

41 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. vrs ® triggered sequence Fifteen seconds after the last door has closed, the system ’ s status LED will begin flashing. This delay is intended to allow you time to distance y ourself from your vehicle in the event of a carjacking.
42 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. disarming the vrs ® T ake the time to familiarise yourself with the VRS ® triggering se- quence and the disarm procedur e. I t is important to recognise and identify the VRS ® trigger sequence and know ho w to disarm it in case of accidental activation.
