On subfloor at opening, place very large beads of caulk. Run beads full width of opening. Elastomeric or Polyurethane sealant. Elastomeric or Polyurethane caulk must be used. Lay door unit on edge or face so that bottom side of sill can be caulked. Place very large beads of caulk across full width of sill. Additionally , place “Elastomeric or Polyurethane caulk” along the junction of the sill and jamb and on the bottom surface of the jambs and brickmold.
Use #8 2-1/2” or 3” screws . Place screws through jamb into studs, at each location where shown in diagrams. place screw at each hinge location, so that shims may be placed behind hinges. Screws will keep shims from falling down while adjustments are made.
