The ScyT ek Galaxy 5000RS Plus is a combination vehicle security and remote starting system f eaturing a built-in "ScyNet Network P ort" that allows direct connection of optional accessory modules and a PC interface off ering expanded system operation.
Standard Remote Transmitter Description The Galaxy 5000RS Plus is supplied with two 5-button R emote T ransmitters used to control system operations. Note : Using the optional PC or P ocket PC interface with the network softw are, it is possible to reconfigure the functionality of the tr ansmitter buttons.
Adding/Replacing Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen transmit ters or to add additional transmit ters into the system, have all desired transmit ters ready and follow the steps below . Note : Up to 4 transmit ters can be programmed to oper ate the system.
Page 4 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Optional 2-way LCD Remote Transmitter Description The Galaxy 5000RS Plus is compatible with the optional 2-way L CD remote transmitter , offering increased range and confirmation of an y activated f eatures. Button 1 Arms and Disarms the system and when held for 2 seconds, activ ates the system’ s Panic feature.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 5 LCD Transmitter Battery Replacement Y our Galaxy Remote T ransmitter uses a 1.5 v olt AAA alkaline battery , which will require replacement in time. Depending on the amount of use, the battery may last up to six months bef ore it needs replacement.
Page 6 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Remote Arming The system monitors 6 independent areas ( zones ) while armed: doors, hood, trunk, shock sensor , optional sensor input, and the network port for future expansion. T o Arm the System: 1. T urn off the ignition.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 7 Tamper Alert If the system was triggered while awa y , the LED will flash to indicate which zone triggered the system after disarming and turning on the ignition.
Page 8 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Panic Mode In the event of an emergency the tr ansmitter’ s remote P anic feature can be used to instantly trigger the alarm. T o activate the P anic Mode: 1. Press and hold Button 1 for 3 seconds. · The alarm will sound.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 9 T o set the Emergency Override Code: 1. T urn on ignition. 2. Within 5 seconds, press the valet switch 5 times. · The siren will provide one long chirp, indicating that y ou have entered Progr amming. 3. Press the valet switch 4 times.

Press and hold Button 4 for three seconds. · The parking lights will turn on. · The LED will flash rapidly . · The engine will start and run for the dur ation of its programmed R un Time.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 11 Automatic Start Mode The Automatic Start Mode allows the vehicle to automatically start the vehicle ev ery one or two hours and run for the preset Run Time. T o turn on Auto Cold Starting: 1. T urn Ignition switch Off and wait f or 3 seconds.
Page 12 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus E x t e n d e d F F e a t u r e s Ignition Door Locking F or added safety , the Ignition Door Locking f eature allows vehicles equipped with power door lock systems to automatically lock the doors when the ignition is turned on.

Page 14 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Mounting the Control Unit The control unit must only be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. Do not mount the main unit in the engine compartment.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 15 S y s t e m W W i r i n g 6-Pin Starter Harness Pin 1 RED WIRE A : Main Power Input A (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 30 Amp supply . R emo v e the fuse until the installation is complete and all wiring is check ed.
Page 16 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Pin 9 BLACK WIRE : Ground Input (-). The B lack wire must connect to a solid chassis ground. Clean away any paint or dirt to insure the best possible ground. Pin 10 RED WIRE : Module Power Input (+). Connect to a constant source of +12V .
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 17 Jumper Selection Carefully separ ate the top and bottom halves of the main unit case. Once the cov er is removed, the parking light polarity jumper will be visible next to the parking light relay . Set the jumper for the correct polarit y output as described below , then reassembly the main unit case.
Page 18 - Galaxy 5000RS Plus Entering System Programming This system is compatible with both the optional LCD tr ansmit ter or the standard AM tr ansmitter , all system programming can be perf ormed using either one. T o enter System Progr amming: 1. T urn on ignition.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 19 5. Ignition Door Unlocking. Selects whether or not the system automatically unlocks the doors when the ignition is turned off . The Ignition Door Locking f eature may be programmed to unlock all doors or the driver’ s door only .

Bypasses the open zone warning chirps for vehicles equipped with a residual dome light circuit that remains on for a period of time after closing the door . 11. Aux 2 Auto Activate with Arm. When selected, the Auxiliary 2 output will activate when the system is armed.
Galaxy 5000RS Plus - Page 21 FM module must be connected before completing this step. FM Remote Learn. Learns the optional 2-way FM tr ansmitter . Press Button 2 on the 1-wa y remote to enter FM T ransmitter learn mode, then press tr ansmitter But ton 1 on each FM remote (max 2).
