6 1 1 1 1 Unpacking and Placement Unpacking Procedure The SXH2 is packaged f or maxim um protection. To open, sit the box upright and cut the rein forced tape at the top of the box. The product can n ow be remov ed. Pull the foam protecting en d-caps off either side of the unit an d remove th e black m aterial covering.
7 2 2 2 2 Instant Install If you are like us, the first thing y ou will w ant to do is to play your favourite piece o f m usic through your new SXH2. The followin g instructions are w ritten to enable y ou to achieve this as quickly as possible.
8 Caution! Prior to connecting the AC mains, please check the voltage label on the rear panel to ensure that your unit conforms to the power supply in your area. Never attempt to connect the unit to the incorrect voltage. Switch o n sour ce componen t Po w er up your source c omponent and start your fa vourite recording.
9 3 3 3 3 Front P anel Functions Power LED This blue LED indicates th e power s tatus of y our SXH2 headphon e amplif ier. Headphon e Jacks Two 6.35m m (¼”) stereo headph one jacks are provided, allow ing a second person to en joy the pu re sound of fered by the SXH2.
10 4 4 4 4 Rear Panel Functions Righ t and Left Line Inputs Input from source com ponen t, accepts a standard u nbalanced input ( RCA ). The left chan nel connection is on the right wh en looking from the rear, indicated by w hite inner rin g. For m ore inform ation on input specifications, please ref er to Chapter 11.
11 AC Mains Input An IEC- standard mains input is provided at the rear of the un it. The AC cord set is removable, allow in g it to be upgraded at your will. Righ t and Left Line Outputs Line lev el output, accepts a standard un balanced inpu t ( RCA ).

19 10 10 10 10 Troubleshooti ng Guide Please use this gu ide if y ou are experiencin g any problems w ith the SXH2 in your sy stem. It will provide possible solutions for some given symptoms. There is no output from my syste m SXH2 not turned on Make sure the SXH2 pow er switch is in the DOWN position.
20 I can hear a hum coming through my headphone s Input and/or output sockets corroded Check th at the input an d output RCA s ockets on the rear of the SXH2 are free from corrosion. Interconnect cables damaged Make sure that the in tegrity of y o u r interconnect cables is sound and they are firmly connected to your sou rce and the SXH2.
