2 Impor tant Safet y Inform ation (AC Adapter Usage) • Use only the original AC adapter (optional) designed f or this unit. Use of unsupported adapters may damage and/or may be hazardous to the unit. • Plug the AC adapter into the appropriate voltage outlet.

4 2. Prep aration 2.1 Inst alling/Replaci ng the Batteries 1. Remove the battery cover . 2. Insert four “AA” batteries as indicated in the battery comp artment and then replace the battery cover . Not es: • If the ba ttery low symbol ( ) appea rs on the display , turn the uni t off t hen replace all batter ies at the same time.

7 3. Using the Unit EN 3.2 How to Sit Correctly T o take a m easurem ent, you n eed to b e relax ed and com fortably s eated, under comfor table room t emperatur e. No b athing, dr inking alcoh ol or caffein e, smoking, exerci sing or eating 30 minutes before taking a m easurem ent.

9 3. Using the Unit EN Dual Check System Press the O/I ST ART button, then the Dual Check System lamp lights and the unit starts detecting a device error . If the unit is accurate and functioning correctly , the Dual Check System lamp remains lit dur ing the meas uremen t.
10 3. Using the Unit • Y our blood pressure monitor includes an irregular heart beat feature. Irregular hear tbeats can influence the results of t he measur ement. The irregular heartbeat algorithm automatically determines if the m easurement is usable or needs t o be repeated.
11 3. Using the Unit EN 3.4 Using the Memo ry Func tion The m onitor au tomatical ly stores the res ult up to 1 00 sets for e ach user (A and B). It can al so ca lculate an avera ge readi ng based o n the m easurem ents from the last three rea dings taken within 10 min utes.

W ait 2-3 minutes and then t ake another measureme nt. Repeat the steps in section 3.3. If this error continues to appear , contact your doctor .
