W arnin g and Safety I nstructions Always position the handle of the cookwar e toward the cent er of th e range to minimize bur ns and spillage . Befor e r emoving po ts and pans, be sur e to turn the co oktop ”O FF“. Always heat oil slowly so it does n’t bubble over .
W arnin g and Safety ins tructions Important notes for the user Installa tion and maint enance should only be per for med by a qualified technician . For saf ety reasons, this c ooktop should only be installed a s a built- in appliance.
Using the cook top Before using for the first time th or- oughly read the “Warning and Safety inst ructions”. Burner controls The bur ner con trols can only be turned counter -clockwise as far as the small flame s ymbol, otherwise the controls could be damaged.
Using the cook top Press in the cor rect control knob and turn counter - clockwise to the high setting (l arge flame sym bol). When the flame i gnite s, keep the b ut- ton pressed in f or 5-10 seco nds, and then press down firml y once mo re before letting go.
Using the cook top Make certain that ther e is a minimum distance of 5/8" (15 m m) between the pan an d the control panel. Never pla ce a pan o n the co ntrol panel.
Cleaning and c are If of a pot boils ove r , c lean the burn er and the co oktop surface imme diately , to prevent the s ubstance from bur ning on. Burners The bu rners can be dis mantled fo r cleaning when cold. Bur ner caps The bur ner caps can be cleaned wit h a solution of dishwa shing l iquid.
Cleaning and c are The pan suppor ts an d ring su pport can be cleaned in a hot solution of dish- washin g liquid. Never use scouring agen ts as these could scratch the su rface. Dry with a soft cloth. Cooktop surface Do not allo w liquids or foods con- taining salt or sugar to spill on to the cooktop.

Installat ion instruct ions The cook top may be installed a s show n above. Do not surr ound the cooktop wi th cabi- netr y , as this presents a fire hazard.

Conversi on to a lternative types of gas When co nver ting to al tern ative types of g as, the main a nd sma ll jets of all bur ners mus t be ch anged. Select the ne w jets followi ng the table below . The gas cookto p is supplie d equipped for natural gas; the appr opri- ate gas jet kit for propane gas, LPG, is also suppl ied with the ap pliance.
Conversi on to a lternative types of gas The cooktop is equipped for con- nection to a Nat ural gas supply . Conversi on is o nly nec essary when using LPG gas (Propane). Chang ing t he ma in je ts Using a 10 mm wrench loosen the main jets. Use a 13 mm wrench to hold backup.
