W ar ning and Sa fety Ins tructio ns When cooking or boiling in large pots or pans, ensure that there is a minimum distance of 2 " (50 mm) be- tween the pot and a heat-sensitive counter top. After combustion, the hot gases flow outwards under the base of the pot and may consequently bur n the edge of the counter top if it is t oo close.
W arnin g and Safe ty inst ructions When using a co oker hood ov er the gas cooktop, ensure that an y burn ers in use are always co vered with a pan. Otherwis e flames could be drawn up by the suct ion of the cook er hood, part s of which could then be damaged.
Burner Before using for the fi rst time, ta ke heed of t he “W arnin g and Safety Instru ctions”. Burner control The inner and ou ter bur ner are both controlled by one kno b. The bur ner control knob may only be turned counter -clockwise an d back in a clo ckwise direction.
Burner Press in the control knob and tur n counter -clockwise to the h igh settin g (largest flame symbol). When the fl ame igni tes, keep the button pressed in for 5-10 seco nds, and th en pr ess do wn once m or e fir mly before letting go. If the flame goes out, repeat th e proce- dure, keeping the control knob pressed in for a few extra seconds.
Burner Ensure that there is a minimum dis- tance of 5/8" (15 mm) between the wok or the pan and the control panel. Never place a pan on t he control panel. The out er par t of t he gas flame is much hotter t han the cente r . The r efore the tips of th e flame should be in con tact with the bas e of the pan and not spread out to the sides .
Cleaning and care In the ev ent of a pan boiling ov er , cle an the bur ner and the coo ktop sur face im- mediately , to prevent the boiled ov er substanc e from bur ning on. Burner The bur ner can be disma ntled for cleaning w hen cold. Burner caps The bur ner caps ca n be cleaned with a soluti on of di shwashing liquid.
Cleaning and care Wok/pan support, trivet Caution : the w ok/pan suppo rt and trivet become hot in use . The wok/pa n suppor t and trivet can be removed for clea ning. The wok/pa n suppor t and trivet can be clea ned in a hot so lution of dishwash- ing liquid.

T ur n off the gas main (if this ap- pliance has already been ins talled), tur n off the e lectrical supply and pull out th e plug.

Use a 13 mm wrench to count erhold. Screw in the n ew main j et, once again using the wrench to co unterhold.

@ä Co nversion to alter n ative t ypes of gas The appliance is s et up for natural gas (NG). When c onver ting to alter nat ive types of gas, the compo nents as listed below have t o be chan ged: Remarks Changes for LPG Propane: jets, adjus ting screws, regulator , Pro- pane label.

Using a 10 mm socke t spanner , loosen the main jet from their holders, using a 13 mm spanner to co unterhold. Screw in the n ew main j et, once again using the span ner to counter hold.
