P A GE 1 Congratulations on y our choice of the M6 Carbine and welcome to the Mesa/Boogie F amily! First we would like to thank you f or choosing us as your amplifier company and trusting us to help create your musical voice.
P A GE 2 DI LEVEL and MASTER controls mak e adjusting y our playing v olume le v els quick and easy on stage. The DI LEVEL features both post and pre T one control options, with post being the def ault (pushed in) setting and PULL PRE activating the pre setting that b y- passes the entire preamp .
P A GE 3 INPUT : This jac k is the instrument INPUT which f eeds the first tube in the all-tube preamp of the M6 CARBINE . It is set up with enough headroom to handle both passiv e and activ e style instruments. F or active instruments you ma y find yourself running the GAIN control somewhere between 10:00 and 2:00 f or optimum headroom.
P A GE 4 B ASS: This control is responsible for the basic mix of low frequencies in the tube pre-amp . The BASS control is an active shelving type control as opposed to a passiv e style control. This means that a center Q point has been chosen and this control allows you to either boost or cut that frequency .
P A GE 5 V OICE: This simple to use f eature puts the shaping power of a parametric EQ at y our finger tips without the lear ning cur v e and allows you to go right to the most iconic sounds instantly . The 5 position rotar y allows you to select from four distinct and different v oices aimed at all the classic Bass sounds.
P A GE 6 This activ e shelving TREBLE control complete s the rotary tone control string to create a pow erful and e xtremely accur ate network to use as your funda mental platf orm.
P A GE 7 MUTE LED: This LED indicates that the T uning MUTE function has been triggered either b y pulling out the F ront P anel MAS- TER PULL MUTE, or by the Rear Panel Function Switch jack. When this LED is illuminated there will be no signal present at the SPEAKER OUTPUT jacks .
P A GE 8 FUSE: This is the A.C. Mains Fuse f or the M6 CARBINE . REPLACE ONL Y WITH A SLO-BLO TYPE FUSE OF THE PR OPER RA TING. THIS IS EXTREMEL Y IMPOR T ANT , AS THE M6 CARBINE DRA WS A SUBST ANTIAL AMOUNT OF CURRENT A T HIGH OUTPUT LEVEL SETTINGS. FUSE rating f or USA - 10A S.

P A GE 13 DIA GNOSING PRE-AMP TUBE PROBLEMS: At some point it is quite possib le that you will e xperience some kind of minor pre- amp tube noise. Rest assured - this is no cause for alar m and you can take care of the problem yourself in a matter of minutes by simply s wapping tubes.
