Intr oduction This Quick Start Guide is intended to help end users who are new to security systems in the da y to da y use of the system. W e recommend that this guide is used in conjunction with the end user manual that w as supplied with the control panel.
T ampers & P As Y our security system protects itself against tamper ing. In the e vent of an y control equipment, detectors or sounders being opened or cables being cut the internal and/or the e xter nal will sound. Dependant on the le v el of system you ha v e installed this ma y require an engineer call-out to reset the system.
P o wer LED The P ower LED giv es an indication of that the mains supply to the unit is good. It should be illuminated at all times e xcept when User Programming mode is being used.
T o P art Set the System Then retire to an unprotected area Note: Y our engineer ma y hav e programmed the P ar t Set e xit sounders as silent. If so a single beep will be giv en when the e xit time e xpires.
Resetting After An Alarm After an alar m all the LEDs will be flashing. Pressing No will displa y the cause of the alar m f or 3 seconds. F or example . System is Unset. Z 3 illuminated. All LEDs are flashing. Zone 3 was activ ated when system was set.
User Pr ogramming Mode T o enhance the flexibility of the Gardtec 350 control panel there are fiv e user programmab le options av ailable . When programming the user options the displa y is via the fiv e zone LEDs and the legend to the right of the LEDs is used (see illustration belo w).
TEST This option allows a Master User to test the system z ones and sounders. LOG This option allows a Master User to vie w the system Ev ent Log. CHIME One or more system zones ma y hav e been programmed as chime z ones b y your installation engineer .

Each time you activ ate a zone the inter nal sounder will sound and the corresponding LED will illuminate on the control panel.

The displa y will now sho w the last system e v ent and will v ar y dependant on what that e v ent was . Whilst using the Log Mode the No ke y is used to move to the pre vious ev ent and the Y es ke y is used to move to the ne xt ev ent.
T urning Chime On/Off Chime zones will ha v e been pre viously programmed b y your installation engineer . A Master le v el user ma y tur n the Chime function On or Off . Zones that are programmed as Chime z ones will giv e a low le vel ‘beep’ sequence when activated.
