7 307741 T roubleshooting Pressure Relief Procedure W ARNING INJECTION HAZARD T o reduce the risk of serious injury , in- cluding fluid injection, splashing in the eyes or on the skin, or moving parts.
8 307741 T roubleshooting Air Leaks Air leaks are caused by worn or damaged gaskets or seals. T o locate the leaks, first shut off the air supply to the pump and open the bleed-type master air valve to relieve air pressure. Disconnect the main air supply line from the air inlet.

14 307741 Service Reassembly 1. Clean all parts thoroughly and inspect for wear or damage. Replace parts as necessary . NOTE: Refer to Fig. 6 for steps 2 to 5. 2. T urn the base (47) upside down. If the bearing (70) was removed, press-fit the new bearing so its top edge is flush with the shoulder (S) of the packing cavity .
15 307741 Service NOTE: Refer to Fig. 7 for steps 6 to 10. 6. Grease the trip rod (40) with light, water-proof grease and slide it into the piston (34) shaft. Clean the threads of the piston and the connecting rod stud (39). Apply Loctite R 242 or the equivalent to both.
