The ScyT ek Galaxy 5000RS Plus is a combination vehicle security and remote starting system featuring a built-in "ScyNet Network Port" that allows direct connection of optional accessory modules and a PC interface offering expanded system operation.
Standard Remote Transmitter Description The Galaxy 5000RS Plus is compatible with the optional 5-but ton Remote T r ansmitters used to control system operations. Note : Using the optional PC or Pock et PC interface with the network software, it is possible to reconfigure the functionality of the tr ansmitter buttons.
Adding/Replacing Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen transmitters or to add additional tr ansmitters into the system, have all desired transmit ters ready and f ollow the steps below . Note : Up to 4 tr ansmitters can be programmed to operate the system.
Page 4 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus 2-way LCD Remote Transmitter Description The Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus is supplied two 2- way LCD remote transmit ters, of fering increased r ange and confirmation of any activated features. Button 1 Arms and Disarms the system and when held for 2 seconds, activates the system’ s Panic feature.
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 5 LCD Transmitter Battery Replacement Y our Galaxy R emote T ransmit ter uses a 1.5 volt AAA alkaline battery , which will require replacement in time. Depending on the amount of use, the bat tery may last up to six months before it needs replacement.
Page 6 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus 4. When the desired time is displayed, press Button 5 to store. · The remote will play a melody to indicate the alarm clock has been set. T o disable the automatic start / auto activ ate f unction: 1. Press and hold But tons 2 and 3 until the remote beeps four times.
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 7 The PSV or passive function allows the passive arming mode to be enabled or with the transmit ter . Note: This feature may not be available on all systems. T o enable or disable the passive arming mode: 1. Press and hold Button 5 until the display shows PSV .
Page 8 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus Remote Arming The system monitors 6 independent areas ( zones ) while armed: doors, hood, trunk, shock sensor , optional sensor input, and the network port for future expansion. T o Arm the System: 1. T urn off the ignition.
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 9 Tamper Alert If the system was triggered while away , the LED will flash to indicate which zone triggered the system after disarming and turning on the ignition.
Page 10 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus Panic Mode In the event of an emergency the transmitter’ s remote Panic feature can be used to instantly trigger the alarm. T o activ ate the Panic Mode: 1. Press and hold Button 1 for 3 seconds. · The alarm will sound.
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 11 T o set the Emergency Override Code: 1. T urn on ignition. 2. Within 5 seconds, press the v alet switch 5 times. · The siren will provide one long chirp, indicating that you have entered Programming. 3. Press the valet switch 4 times.
Page 12 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus Remote Starting T o Remote Start the S ystem: 1. Be sure the system is not in V alet Mode. 2. Press and hold Button 4 f or three seconds. · The parking lights wil l flash 4 times and turn on. · The Siren will chirp 4 times.
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 13 Automatic Start Mode The Automatic Start Mode allows the vehicle to automatically start the vehicle every one or two hours and run for the preset Run Time. T o turn on Auto Cold Starting: 1. T urn Ignition switch Off and wait for 3 seconds.

Page 16 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus Mounting the Control Unit The control unit must only be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. Do not mount the main unit in the engine compartment.

Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 30 Amp supply . R emo v e the fuse unti l the instal lation is complete and al l wiring is check ed.
Page 18 - Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus when the door is open. This t ype of door circuit is usually found on Ford vehicles. Pin 12 GREEN WIRE : Negative Door Input (-). Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shows ground when the door is open. Pin 13 WHITE/BLACK WIRE : Hood Pin Input (-).
Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 19 Jumper Selection Carefully separate the top and bottom halves of the main unit case. Once the cover is removed, the parking light polarity jumper will be visible next to the parking light relay . Set the jumper f or the correct polarity output as described below, then reassembly the main unit case.

Galaxy 5000RS-2W Plus - Page 21 5. Ignition Door Unlocking. Selects whether or not the system automatically unlocks the doors when the ignition is turned off . The Ignition Door Locking feature may be programmed to unlock all doors or the driver’ s door only .
