34 LifeBook P1600 Series Noteboo k Power Management Y our LifeBook P1600 Series notebook has many options and features fo r conserv ing battery power . Some of these features ar e automatic and need no user intervention, such as those for the internal modem.
35 Getting Started from Standby mode, your system will return to the point where it left off. T o res ume operation, you m ust use the Suspend/R esume button to resume operation, and there must be an adequat e power sour ce a vailable, or your system will not resume .

39 User-Installable Features Lithium ion Battery Y our LifeBook P1600 Series notebook has a Li thium ion battery that pro vides power for operating y our note- book when no external po wer source is a vailable. The battery is durable and long lasting, but should not be exposed to e xtreme t emperatures, high voltages, chemi- cals or other hazards.
40 LifeBook P1600 Series Noteboo k Once y our notebook goes int o Dead Battery Suspend mode you will be unable to res ume operation until you pro vide a source of power either from an adapter , or a char ged batte r y . Once you have p rovide d p ower , you w il l need to press the Suspend/R esume button to resume operation.
41 User-Installable Features Memory Upgrade Module Y our Fujitsu LifeBook P1600 Ser ies notebook comes w ith a minimum of 512 MB of hig h speed Doubl e Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic RAM 2 (DDR2 SDRAM), 533 MHz factory installed. T o increase y our system ’ s memory capacity , you ma y install a memory upgrade module.

Align the memory upgrade module with the compo- nent side up . Align the connector edge of the memor y upgr ade module w ith the connector slot in the compartment.

53 T roubleshooting Y ou hav e installed an external key bo a rd or mo us e, and it does not seem to w ork. Y our external device is not pro p- erly installed. Re-i nstall your device.
