This will ensure that the cable is not damaged by heat from the cookt op. Check that the power supply cable is not acc essible via cupboard doors or drawers.

13 T o star t cooking T urn the control dial of the cooking zone you wish to use to the High setting, then adjust as necessary. When using dual cooking zones, you may choose to use the inner zone only ( ) or the full dual cooking zone ( ). See Fig. 9 below .
14 Cooking guidelines Cookware Use heavy-gauge, flat, smooth-based cookware that matches the diameter of the cooking zone. This will provide good c ontact with the glass and help reduce cooking times. Low heat or slow cooking is often due to incorrect cookware size.

T ake care when deep-fr ying: oil or fat c an overheat very quickly , par ticularly on a high setting. General cooking tips Using a lid will reduce cooking times through r etaining the heat.
