– 15 – 6(&85,1*7+(35(0,6(6 Bypassing Protection Zones Bypassing Individual Zones Use the BYPA SS key w hen you wan t to arm your sy stem w ith one or more zones intentionally unprotected. Bypassed zo nes are unprotected and will not cause an alarm wh en v iolated w hile you r system is arm ed.
– 16 – 6(&85,1*7+(35(0,6(6 Panic Keys / Chime Mode Panic Keys Your system may have been programmed to use special keys to manually activate panic functions. The functions that might be programmed are listed below. See your installer for the function(s) that may have been programmed for your system.
– 17 – 86(5)81&7,216 Paging Feature Automatic Paging If the Paging feature has been programm ed for your system , y our pager will respond to certain conditions as they occur in your system by displaying a message that indicates the type of condition that has occurred.
– 18 – 86(5)81&7,216 Using Device Commands (Lights On/Lights Off Keys) General Information Your sy stem m ay be set up so that certain light s or other devices can be turned on or of f by using the device com mand from the key pad. Ask y our installer if this has been done in your system .
– 19 – 86(5)81&7,216 Message Recording/Playback/Volume Control Recording a Message Your system can record a brief message (up to 20 seconds) that can be played back later. To record a message: FUNCTION + RECORD The keypad beeps and displays “REC MESSAGE.
– 20 – 86(5)81&7,216 AUX FUNCTION General Information The AU X key may ha ve been prog ramm ed to either perf orm a predefined f unction or to send a preset m essage to a pager (see PAGER FEATURE section f or pager operation). Ask your installer which function has been assigned for your system.
– 21 – 86(5)81&7,216 Clock/Calendar Setting the Time and Date Your system can display the current tim e (see your installer). The date is not displayed, but has an internal function. The system must be disarmed with no faults present. To set the time and date: + FUNCTION + [63] Master Code or Installer Code NOTES: 1.

In the event of an emergency, the installed smoke and heat detectors will automatically activate your security system, triggering a loud, intermittent sound from the keypad.

The keypad sounds a single beep every 45 seconds as a reminder that the system is in the Test mode.
