SAFE TY INST RUCTI ONS AND W ARNINGS F OR CHA IN SA WS • Keep Work Area Clean -Cluttered areas invite injuries. Do not start cutting until you have a clear work area, secure footing, and a planned retreat path from the falling tree.
The following precautions should be followed to minimize kickback: (1.) Grip Saw Firmly . Hold the chain saw firmly with both hands when the motor is running.
Kickback Safety Features W ARNIN G: The following features are included on your saw to help reduce the hazard of kickback; however such features will not totally eliminate this dangerous reaction. As a chain saw user do not rely only on safety devices.

7 • Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely necessary . Use of improper extension cord could result in risk of fire, electric shock, or electrocution. • An extension cord must have adequate wire size (A WG or American Wire Gauge) for safety .
8 CHAR GING PR OCEDURE The standard charger provided will charge a fully depeleted battery in about 8 hours. 1. Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet before inserting the battery pack. 2. Insert the battery pack into the charger as shown in figure A .
9 Delay , suspending charging until the battery has normalized. After this happens, the charger automatically switches to the Pack Charging mode. This feature ensures maximum battery life. The red LED flashes in the pattern indicated on the label when the hot / cold pack delay is detected.
