G6200 GB-4 10. Keep all parts of your body away from the saw chain when the engine is run- ning. 11. Before you start the engine, make sure the saw chain is not contacting anything. 12. Always carry the chain saw with the engine stopped, the guide bar and saw chain to the rear , and the muffler away from your body .

G6200 G B GB-7 5. Fit the chain cover to the power unit and fasten the nuts to finger tightness. 6. While holding up the tip of the bar , adjust the chain tension by turning the tensioner screw until the tie straps just touch the bottom side of the bar rail.
G6200 GB-8 4. Fuel and Chain Oil ■ FUEL W ARNING • Gasoline is very flammable. A void smoking or bringing any flame or sparks near fuel. Make sure to stop the engine and allow it cool bef ore refuel- ing the unit. Select outdoor bare ground f or fuel- ing and move at least 3 m (10 ft) a way fr om the fueling point before starting the engine.

G6200 GB-10 ■ ICING PREVENTION SYSTEM This system prevents icing of the carbur etor which some- times happen while sawing in winter . When your saw has stopped or slowed down abruptly , use the system as follows: 1. Remove the air cleaner cover , air filter , and silencer .
G6200 G B GB-11 6. Sawing • Before pr oceeding to your job, read the section “For Safe Op- eration”. It is recommended to first practice sa wing easy logs. This also helps you get accus- tomed to your unit. •A lwa ys follo w the safety regu- lations.

A log hanging off the ground In area A, saw up fr om the bottom one-third and finish by sawing down from the top. In ar ea B, saw down from the top one-third and finish by sawing up fr om the bot- tom.
G6200 G B GB-13 ■ PERIODICAL SER VICE POINTS 1. Cylinder fins Dust clogging between the cylinder fins will cause overheat- ing of the engine. Periodically check and clean the cylinder fins after removing the air cleaner and the cylinder cover .
