4 The decals shown at the right have been placed on the treadmill. If a decal is missing or illegible, call the tele- phone number on the front cover of this manual and order a free replacement decal. Apply the decal in the lo- catio n sho wn. Note: The decals are not shown at actual size.

6 ASSEMBL Y A ssembly requires two persons. S et the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. D o not remo ve t he long wire inside of the right handrail yet. In addition, do not disp ose of t he p acki ng m ateri als until assembly is completed.
7 5. Hold the Console Base (1) near the Right Handrail (6). Touch the Right Handrail to discharge any static. Insert the end of the Wire Harness (22) through the three looped plastic ties. Next, press the end of the Wire Harness into the connector on the back of the Console Base (1) in the location shown.
9. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Keep the included hex key in a secure place; the hex key is used to adjust the walking belt (see page 14). To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill.
9 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sili- c one spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deterio- rate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
10 DIAGRAM OF THE CONSOLE ETW A16105 Clip Key Note: If there is a sheet of clear plastic on the console, remove the plastic. STEP-BY-STEP CONSOLE OPERATION Before operating the con- sole, make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in (see page 9).
1 1 To stop the walking belt, press the Stop button. If the elapsed time is shown in the display (see step 3 ), the time will begin to flash. Note: The first time the treadmill is used, observe the alignment of the walking belt, and center the walking belt if necessary (see page 14).
HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 20 kg (45 lbs.) to raise, lower, or move the t readmill. 1. Hold the metal frame firmly in the location shown by the arrow at the right.

14 PROBLEM: The walking belt slows when walked on S OLUTION: a . I f an extension cord is needed, use only a 3-conductor, 1mm 2 ( 14-gauge) cord that is no longer than 1.5 m (5 ft.). b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill perfor- mance may decrease and the walking belt may be- come damaged.
