1 1. Insert the CD into your old computer . 2. Locate the CD drive on “My Computer”. 3. Double-click the “ Belkin Easy T ransfer Cable for Win7 ” software icon and follow the on-screen prompts. Note: Y ou do not need to install this software on your Windows 7 computer .
4. Select “ Next ” on your old computer . This program is now verifying the operating system compatibility and installing Windows Easy T ransfer on to your computer . Note: If your operating system is not currently compatible, you will be prompted to install Windows Service Pack SP2 for Windows XP or SP1 for Windows V ista.
5. Select “ Finish ” on your old computer . Note: If yo ur co mpu ter pr om pts yo u t o res tar t, se lec t “ Y es ” a nd con ti nue ..

2 1. Launch Windows Easy T ransfer on both computers. For computers with Windows XP or Windows V ista: Start > Programs > Windows Easy T ransfer For computers with Windows 7: Start > Search p.
2. Select “ Next ” on both computers. Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
3. Select “ An Easy T ransfer Cable ” on both computers. Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
4. Go to your old computer . Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista Source Destination Windows Easy Transfer Windows Easy Transfer.
5. Select “ This is my old computer ” . Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
6. Go to your computer running Windows 7. Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista Source Destination Windows Easy Transfer Windows Easy Transfer.
7. Select “ This is my new computer ” . Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
8. Select “ I already installed it on my old computer ” . Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
9. Select “ Next ” on both computers. Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
10. When you see this screen, you are now ready to connect your Belkin Easy T ransfer Cable to each computer . Computer with Windows 7 Computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista.

3 1. Connect your Belkin Easy T ransfer Cable to each computer using any available USB port. 2. Use your Windows 7 computer to transfer your les and user accounts.
Using Windows Easy T ransfer 1. Y our Windows 7 computer will scan your old computer to determine which les can be transferred. John Doe’s Computer Shared Items.
2. Y ou may now select what you would like to transfer from your old computer on to your new computer . T o accept the defaults click “ T ransfer ” to continue. If you would like to customize what is transferred, select “ Customize ”, or to modify how user accounts are transferred, select “ Advanced Options ”.

4. The transfer is now complete. Click “ Close ” to nish. Y ou may review what les were transferred by selecting “See what was transferred”. Windows Easy T ransfer does not transfer any programs or applications. Any programs or applications will have to be reinstalled on your Windows 7 computer .
