53 Appendix BIOS Setup Inst allation The BIOS is the b asic in put/output s ystem, the fi rmware on the moth erboard that en ables yo ur hardware to interfac e with your s oftware. The BIOS determi nes what a compu ter can do witho ut accessi ng program s from a disk.
