7 Getting started What is a SIM card ? Every mobile phone has a SIM card (Subscriber Identity Modul e). This is a micro-chip that ho lds your personal information such as names and phone numbers. Your phone won’ t work without it. If you already have contacts o n your SIM card, they can be transferred in most cases.
8 Getting started Insert the battery as follows: 1. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts in the battery compartment on the phone. 2. Push down on the upper section o f the battery until it 'clicks' into place. 3. Close the battery compartm ent by sli ding the cover closed until you hea r a ‘click’.
9 Getting started Switching the telephone on or off: Make sure that you SIM card is in your mobile phone and that the battery is charged. 1. Press the red key to switch the phone on. 2. If prompted, choose your language and press OK. 3. If you have entered a PIN- code before, th e phone will ask for the code now.

12 Getting started Alert Type Ring Silent mode on and Vibration o nly Vibrate and ring Call Divert This icon shows when you divert all calls unconditional ly. SIM card ha s been set up call divert. GPRS This icon shows when the GPRS connection is available or a ctive.
13 Call function Make a call: 1. To make a call, enter the phone number with the prefix and press the green key . For international calls, enter ‘ +’ by pressing for 2 sec. Then enter the country code followed by the telephone number, i n which the 0 of th e prefix must be dropped.
14 Call function Answering a call: When there i s an i ncoming call, the pho ne rings and/or vibrates and shows th e number or th e corresponding name . 1. Press the green key or Answer if you would l ike to answer a call. 2. Press the red key or silent if you would like to reject a call, or for ending the connection after the call.

16 Phonebook Search: 1. Choose Search in the Phonebook. 2. Key in the first character(s) of the name you ar e looking for and press Search . 3. If you press Option you can use the following options: V.
17 Phonebook Speed dial You can turn the speed dial function on o r off by Enable speed dial . It is possible to enter 8 speed d ial numbers that can be called from the stand-b y m ode by pressing th e corresponding number keys (2~9). 1. Choose Set numbers and press OK .
18 Phonebook Delete all cont acts: You can choose the following optio ns: From SIM: Delete all the names stored in SIM card From phone: Del ete all t he names stored in the phone storage.
19 Messages You can receive and send Messages: SMS and MMS . Here you can also choose Voice Mail and Broadcast . These services are web-based services. Please contact your network operator before using. SMS You can write and send text m essages. Invoicing is based upon how many ordinary m essages are needed for any multi-part message.
20 Messages MMS Here you can w rite your MM S. Use the following functions to write your MMS: 1. Press left selection key to enter MMS. 2. Enter contents and pre ss left se lection k ey to enter Option .
21 Messages You can choose the following options w hile reading your received SMS: View, Reply by SMS, Reply by MMS, Call sender , Forward, Delete, D elete all In the Advanced option : Copy to Phone* Move to Phone*, Copy all, and Move all . * These options may not appear according to the stora ge location.
22 Messages Sent messages The Sent messages to view the messages you sent. You can choose th e following options while r eading your sent SMS: View, Forward, Delete, Delete all, and Advanced . In the Adv anced option: Copy to Phone Move to Phone, Copy all, and Move all .
23 Messages SMS You can choose the following optio ns: SIM: This setting is needed to use the SMS function. The SMSC n umber can be obtained Memory Status: Check the capacity of messages storages. Save sent Msg : Here you can set on/off to saves the sent messages in the folder Sent messages.
24 Messages Retriev al : Set th e H ome network, Roaming, Filters Read report and D elivery report of your receiving MMS. Filter: Your phone will reject o r allow MMS of the selected filter criteria. Preferred storage: Select Memory card or Phone to store m essages on the Memory card or Phone memory.
25 Call center Call history Missed, Dialled and Received: The phone registers the phone numb ers of Missed , Received and Dialled calls. When you press OK by Missed, Dialled or Received , you can view the calls you Missed, Dialled or Received.
26 Call center Call settings: Depending on n etwork operator support and subscription, you can choose the following options: Call waiting: When this network s ervice is activated, the network notifies you of a new incoming cal l while yo u have a call in progress.
27 Organizer Alarm: You can set a maximum of 5 differe nt alarms. To set an alarm clock: 1. Select one alarm and press Edit . 2. Edit alarm: set On or Off (Volume key +/-) , Time, Repeat, alarm tone, Snooze (m) and Alert type . 3. Press Done to save the Alarm .
28 Organizer If no emergency number i s saved, o r your phone card has run out, or you a re not allowed under a foreign network (e.g. Roaming not activated), you can dial 112 or another emergency number on th e numerical keypad. SOS description : Press the SOS button on th e back o f th e mobile phone for 3 seconds.
29 Organizer Note: If you want to stop or cancel the SOS call, press the SOS butt on . If not answered the emergency call, th e emergency Alarm will ring until the SOS button is pressed Wh.
30 Organizer Calendar: Enter submenu of Calendar and you can see the interface of date. Press the direction keys to select d ate and month; press Option t o access submenus: View, Vie w all, Add event, D elete event, Jump to date and Go to today, Go to weekly/monthly view.
31 Multimedia Camera: In the standby mode press the camera key, on th e right side of the phone, to activate the camera. Take a picture: Aim the camera lens at the place/object, and press the camera key on the right side button or key “0” , to take a picture.
32 Multimedia White Balance: It is a function w hich gives the camera a reference to “true white”. Here you c an choose between: Auto, Daylight, Tungsten Fluorescents and In candescent .
33 Multimedia FM radio: This cellular phone p rovides the function of FM radio. In the interface of FM radio, pressing the “ 0 ” key can sta rt or stop the Radio function. After opening this function, pressing the down key or up key can carry on the forward searching o r t he b ackward searching automatically, until search a channel.
34 Multimedia Manual input: You can input the broadcast frequency by hand which you want to hear, and then it will broadcast automatically after you press the assurance key. Auto search: Choose this menu can search broadcast channels automatically. Note: The listening effect will be influenced while listening indoors o r the phone is shield.
35 Settings Phone settings: You can choose the following optio ns: Time & Date: Set time and date Language: Here you can choose the language you want i n your display. Preferred Writing language: Here you can choose the language you want for write.
36 Settings User Profile: The phone provide 4 pre-defined user profiles tha t allow the operations of the phone to best suit the environment you are i n.
37 Settings Network selection: Here you can choose: New search, Select network and Selection Mode . GPRS tr ansfer pref.: Here to can choose b etween: Data prefer and Call prefer . Security setup: You can choose the following optio ns: SIM security : To turn your SIM PIN code On o r Off, change PIN and change PIN2.
38 Settings You can choose the following optio ns: Power: Here you can choose to t urn Bluetooth On or Off . Visibility: you can set the visibility on or off. My device: List of saved devices and enables you to add new devices; Search new device . Search audio device: Search for availabl e Bluetooth audio devices.
39 Settings Data account This setting allows y ou to change the settings for the GPRS Data network as following. Press the Left soft key to enter Edit m ode or add a PS account. You can choose th e followi ng options by any data account network: Account name: Here you can edit the Account name .

41 FAQ Bad talking quality: Weak signal? See: Weak signal or no signal. Check if battery if batter y is low. Charge the battery or change the battery. Use the up volume key to ad just the m icrophone volume during a call. Can’t make a call: Check if yo u enter the c orrect number and pr ess green key .

43 Battery Your phone is powere d by a rech argeable battery . Note that a new battery 's full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles! The battery can b e charged and discharged hundreds of times but it will ev entually wear out.
