8 – Specifications 38 TASCAM DS-M 7.1 Making up a re mote contro l cable It is po ssible t o make tw o kinds of remote con trol cable, allo wing th e front pa nel of th e DS-M7.1 to be detached and used as a remote co ntrol unit. The f irst t ype may be up t o 5 m (about 15 feet) l ong (standar d cable) , and may use a general- purpose cable.
