38 This mode allow s you to record videos ont o a d isc fr om a camera co nnecte d to th e DVDirect or memory card inserted into the slot with a singl e touch of the (record) button. Th is is one of the sim pler cop y modes, elimina ting t he ne ed to s elect videos.

47 Copy ing From a ca mera When yo u have more tha n one 8cm disc to copy, yo u can consol idate a nd record th eir contents on to a single, standard 12cm disc. Initially, turn on the DVDirect (page 29), inser t a disc ( page 30 ) and con nect a USB cable for re cording (pa ge 31).

57 Copying From Video Devi ces z Hint • When the prompt message [Format disc for DV/ VIDEO recording?] appears after inserting a blank disc, select [OK]. Forma tting a disc may take several seconds to complete. You cannot record HD (High Definition ) videos onto a formatted disc under this message.

70 • You cannot record to a disc if th e DVDirect’s color system is different from the color system of the connect ed camcorder. • A disc will not be playable, if the DVDirect’s color system setting used for recording is different from the playback device.

74 XX/YY videos are not recordable. Continue c opying? • HD (High Definition ) video taken in REC mode at a bit rate ex ceeding 18Mbps, such as in [HD FX] mode (for exam ple, Hig h Definition Handy camR) is containe d in a camera or memo ry card. Such vide o does not comply with AVCHD form at.
