Chapter 6 Product Conf igurations Chapter 1 Overv iew Overview Product Configurations The DSR-400/450 WS Digital Camc order series is made up of the DSR-400K/4 00PK, DSR-400L/400PL, and DSR-450WSL/4 50WSPL models dependin g on the product configuration, as shown in th e figure below.
7 Features Chapter 1 Overvi ew Features The DSR-400/400 P DVCAM * digital camc order is equipped with a 2 / 3 -inch type Power HAD * EX CCD with an aspect ratio of 4 :3. The DSR-450WS/450WSP DVCAM digital ca mcorder is equipped with a 2 / 3 -inch type Power HAD EX CCD with a wide-screen aspect ratio of 16:9.

The “Memory St ick” access indicator ligh ts up when the “Memor y Stick” is being accessed for reading or writing. 20 Location and Function of Pa rts Chapter 1 Overv iew m VTR button This button starts and stops recording on the VTR. Press it once to start recording, an d once more to stop. In the recording pause state, the camcord er waits for a certain pe riod of time in th e standby-on mode a nd then automatically switches to stan dby-off mode.

30 Adjusting the Viewfinder Chapter 2 Preparati on To use the AC-DN10 AC adaptor Mount an AC -DN10 on the c amcorder in the same way as a battery pack, then connect to t he AC power supply.
31 Adjusting the Viewfin der Chapter 2 Prep aration T o adjust the eyepiece f ocus First focus the image with the lens, then adjust the eyepiece focusing knob to get the clearest viewfinder image for your eyesight. The ad justment range is from –3 to 0 diopters.

57 Recording Chapter 4 Record ing and Playback You can see the iris sensitivit y trimmer when removing the gum cap on the fron t of the lens driving u nit. Use a mini- screwdriver to turn the trimmer. If you turn it cl ockwise, the sensitivity increases, and if you turn it counterclockwise, the sensitivity decreases.
