19 Gettin g Started • The /CHG (charge) lamp flashes during charging, or Batt ery Info (p . 17) will not be correctly displayed under the following conditions: – The battery pack is not attached correctly. – The battery pack is damaged. – The battery pack is worn-out (For Battery Info only).

21 Gettin g Started • It takes a few seconds for your camcorder to be ready to shoot after the power is turned on. You cannot operate your camcorder during this time. • The lens cover opens automatically when the power is turned on. It closes when the playback screen is selected, or the power is turned off.

31 Recordin g/Playback You can magnif y images up to 15 times the origin al size with the power zoom lever or the zoom buttons on th e LCD fram e. Move the power zoom lever sl ightly for a slower zoom . Move it furthe r for a faster zoom. b Not es • Be sure to keep your finger on t he power zoom lever.
32 When you press QUICK ON, the camcord er goes to slee p mode (pow er saving mode ) instead of turn ing off. Th e QUICK O N lamp keeps fl ashing duri ng slee p mode. P ress QU ICK ON agai n to start recording next time. Y our c amcorder returns to record ing stan dby in approxi mately 1 secon d.
33 Recordin g/Playback To adj ust th e expo sure f or back lit su bjects, press . (back li ght) to display . on the screen. To cancel the ba ck light function, press . (back l ight) a gain. Open th e LCD pane l 90 degr ees to the camcorde r ( 1 ), th en rotate it 180 degrees to the lens side ( 2 ).
