4 Squeezebox2 Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Befor e Y ou Begin If you already have a wir eless or ethernet network and a computer to use as a server , setting up Squeezebox2 and SlimServer takes just a few minutes—all you need to get your music playing through Squeezebox2 is this owner’ s guide.
5 Squeezebox2 Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Installing the SlimServer Softwar e Installing on Windows: 1. Download the SlimServer installer program to a location you can fi nd again on your computer . Y our Desktop is a good choice. 2. When the fi le has fi nished downloading, double-click on the SlimServer installer icon.

Y ou can also connect a digital optical cable to the square connector or digital coaxial cable to the orange connector .
8 Squeezebox2 Owner’ s Guide SLIM DEVICES Confi guring Squeezebox2 When you plug in Squeezebox2, the Slim Devices logo is displayed briefl y , followed by a welcome message. Set Up Networking 1. Press the RIGHT arrow on the r emote control. The Set Up Networking menu option is displayed.

The new music will not appear in your music library on the SlimServer until the rescan is complete. Some of the songs in my iT unes library don’t show up on Squeezebox2 or say STOPPED when I try to play them.
