5 OPERATING I NSTRUCTIO NS Power 1. The meter is powered by one ( 1) 9V battery . IR Measurements 1. Hold the me ter by its handl e and point it toward the s urface to be measured. 2. Pull and hold the t rigger to turn the meter on a nd begin testing.
6 Field of View As the distance from the object increases, the spot s ize of the area mea sured becomes la rger. The meter’s field of view is 6 :1; in other words if the meter is 6 inc hes from the targe t (spot), the diameter of the target must be at least 1 inch .
