English x Burn video clips onto a DVD CA UTION Before writing data to a D VD i Please note that in the case of a large amoun t of data it can tak e a long time to bur n it to D VD. 1 I nsert a blank DVD in your computer’s DVD drive. 2 Double-click on your desktop’s Premiere Elements icon to run the Premiere Elem ents program.

Hold the camera high to get a great view of a parade, or swivel the monitor around to snap a photo of yourself. If you s wivel the monitor unit to its farthest position, the image on the monitor will be inv erted.

English 30 SETUP TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFF T urning on the camera 1 Open the monitor unit, and press the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. h If you p ress the REC/PLA Y button f or at least 1 second, the ca mera turns on in the pla ybac k mode.
31 English TURNING THE CAMERA ON AN D OFF T urning off the camera 1 Press the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. h The camera turns off . h T o tur n off th e camera while it is in the shooting mode or po wer sa ve mode, press the ON/OFF b utton f or at least 1 second.
English 32 SETUP D A TE AND TIME SETTING The camera will record the date and time an image or audio recording is taken so that y ou can disp la y them during pla yback. Theref ore, bef ore capturing images, mak e sure the correct date and time are set.

67 English AFTER USING THE CAMERA IN W A TER After using th e camera i n water , wash it with fresh w ater and dry it complet ely . 1 Turn off the camera, and clos e the battery/card compa rtment cover securely. 2 Wash the camera wit h fresh water. h Fill a shallow basin with fresh w ater, and immerse the cl osed camera f or about 5 minutes.
English 68 SIMPLE/SHOO TING 4 Dr y the camera. h Use a dr y cloth to wipe off any drops adher ing to the camera, and leave it to dr y completely in a well-ventilated place awa y from direct sunlight. h W ater ma y seep out from th e drai nage hol es if the c amera is not completely dr y inside.

English 72 SIMPLE/PLA YBA CK SLIDESHO W PLA YB A CK Y ou can play back files in succession with the “slidesho w pla yback” f eature. 1 Display t he SIMPLE Mode Playback Menu (page 37), select the slideshow setting, and press the SET button. 2 Se lect the type of fil e to play back, and press the SET button.

English 74 SIMPLE/PLA YBA CK DELETING FILES Y ou can delete files if you no longer need them. Y ou can delete the fi les one at a time, or all at once. 1 Display t he SIMPLE Mode Playback Menu (page 37), select the delete c icon, and press the SET button.

T o magnif y: Magnification increases each time the [T/ ] ] button is pressed.
79 English NORMAL SHOO TING NORMAL/SHOOTING RECORDING SIZE The image quality of video clips and still images is determined by the recordin g size (number of p ixe ls). Th e larger the recording size, the better the image quality will be, b ut the file size will also be larger .
English 80 NORMAL/SHOO TING Still images This menu is also used f or shooting sequential shots . 1 Di splay the NORMAL Mode Shooting Menu (page 37), select “PHOTO”, and press the SET button. 2 Se lect the desired recording size, and press the SET button.
