7 G et star ted First steps to operating your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a c ellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscrip tion details, such as your PIN, and available opti onal services.
Ge t starte d 8 Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the low battery message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery level becomes too l ow , the phone automatically turns off. R ec harge your battery .
Get started 9 Power on or off Offline mode Y ou can switch the phone to Offline mode, in which the phone functions requiring network connection are deactivated. This mode is helpful when you want to use your phone in a place where you are not allowed to use mobile devices, such as in an airplane and at a hospital.

Call functions 33 Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions during a call. Adjusting the volume during a call Use [ + / - ] to adjust the earpiece volume during a call. Press [ + ] to incr ease the vol ume level and [ - ] to decrease the volume lev el .

The SIM card and phone’s memory are physically separate, but they are used as a si ngle entity called Phonebook. T o access this menu, press < Menu > in Idle mode and select Phonebook .
