7 G et started First steps to operating your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a c ellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscrip tion details, such as your PIN, and available opti onal services.
Ge t started 8 Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty battery icon blinks. If the battery level becomes too l ow , the phone automatically turns off. R echarge your battery .
Get started 9 Power on or off Offline mode Y o u can switch the phone to Offline mode, in which the phone functions requiring network connection are deactivated. This mode is helpful when you want to use your phone in a place where you are not allowed to use mobile devices, such as in an airplane and at a hospital.

Insert a memory card into a card adapter , and t hen the adapter into a car d reader/ writer . 2. Plug the USB connect er of the card reader/writer into the USB port on y our computer .
32 Enter text ABC, T9, Number, and Symbol m odes Y ou can enter text in some features such as Messages, Phonebook, or Calendar , using ABC mode, T9 mode, Number mode, and Symbol mode. Changing the text input mode • Press the right soft key to change the text input mode.

Call fun ctions 39 Using In-c all options Press < Opt. > to access t he following options during a call: • Switch to headset / Switch to phone : switch the ca ll to a Bl uetooth headse t or hands-free car kit or back to the p hone. T o use this feature, you first need to connect your headset or ca r kit to the phone.
40 • Split : have a priv ate conversa tion with one multi-party call participant. The other participants can con verse with each other . After the private con versation, select Join to return both private participants to the mult i- party call. • Transfer : transfe r the currently active call to a caller on hold.

Service number (Menu 2.9) Use this menu to view the list of Service Dialling Numbers (SDN ) assigned by your service provider , including emergency numbers and numbers for directory enquiries.

This code is us ed just once an d you do not need to memorise i t. When the owner of the other device enters the same code, pairing is complete.
