6 Installing the Batter y Remove the cover by placing your fingernail in the opening and firmly pop the cover fr om the device (1 and 2). Insert the battery into the phone housing, align both sets of gold contacts and press down (3 and 4). Press down on the corners of the batter y cover to snap into place (5 and 6).

18 Wi-Fi Configuration This panel allows you to customize your device. • Current Profile : Displays the cu rrent network profile. • Selected Profile : Displays/changes the selecte d network profile . Click or touch the drop down menu to select a profile (Open or Se cure).

20 Chang e Administration Pas sw or d This password protects the confi guration settings on this device. Y o u must provide the password to access the Mobile Hotspot’s Web-based adminis tration interface. • Current Password : Enter the current password used to access the administration interface.
Securing Y our Device 21 Enable MA C Filtering Caution !: Before enabling this feature, ensure that the MAC address of your own PC or tablet is included in the T rusted Client list. Otherwise, the Mobile Hotspot will disconnect from your Wi-Fi device, and you won’t be able to reconnect.
22 Port Filtering Panel Port Filtering bloc ks outgoing Inte rnet traffic. When enabl ed, only traffic from selected a pplications can a ccess the Internet. T raffic type is identified by port number . Note: DNS (Domain Name Server) should always be enabled when using Port Filtering.

Y ou can also view the system log and perform various operatio ns. This screen is used mostly for troubleshooting and is not re quire d for normal operation.

Configuring Y our Device 29 Global T raf fic Counter s These counters record incoming a nd outgoing Internet traffic. They continue in crementing until you click Res tart Counters. • Start Date : The date on which these Global T raffic Counters started, usually the date of the first connection.
