17 assembling and preparing your mobile phone Get started by assembling and setting up your mobile phone for its first use. Install the SIM or USIM card and battery When you subscribe to a cellular se.

If the phone is on, press and hold [ ] to turn it off. Place the SIM or USI M card in the pho ne with the gold-coloure d contacts f acing down.

Open the cover to the multifunction jack. 2. Plug the small end of th e travel adapter into the multifunction jack.

29 using basic functions Use the headset By plugging the supplied headset into the phone, you can make and answer calls: • T o redial the last call, press the headset button, and then press again and hold. • T o answer a call, press the headset button.

a troubleshooting If you are having trouble with your mo bile phone, try these troubleshooting procedures before contacting a service professional. b troubleshooting Y our phone displays “Service unavailable” or “Network error.” • When you are in areas with weak signals or poor reception, you may lose reception. Move to another area and tr y again. • Y ou cannot access som e options without a subscription.
c troubleshooting The phone beeps and the battery icon flashes. Y our battery is low . Recharge or re place the battery to continue usi ng the phone. The audio quality of the call is poor . • Ensure that you are not blocking the phone’ s internal antenna.
