9 FUELING & L UBRICA T ION FU EL ING EN GINE WAR N I N G : Remove fuel c ap slow - ly w hen refueling. T his engine is c ertified to operate on unleaded gasol ine. Before operat ion, gasoline mus t be mixed w ith a good quality s y nthetic 2-cy c le air-c ooled engine oil d esigned to b e mixed at a ratio of 40 :1.
10 4. P ush the c hoke/fas t idle lever in to the HALF C HOK E position. 5. P ull the starter rope quic kly with your right hand until t he engine starts . 6. A llow the engine to run f or approx imately 30 sec onds. Then, squeez e and release throttle trigger to allow engine to return to idle speed.
11 S Prac tice c utting a f ew s mall logs us ing the following tec hniques to get t he “ feel” of us- ing your s aw befor e you begin a major saw ing operation. S Squeez e the throt tle trigger and a llow the engine to reac h full speed befor e c utting.
12 NOTE: Befor e felling cut is c omplete, use wedges to open the c ut when neces sar y to contr ol the direc tion of fall. T o av oid kic kbac k and chain damage, us e wood or plast ic wedges , but never s teel or iron wedges .
