- 4 - This unit can be ope rated using a contr oller (AW -RP50: option al). Operations availa ble using the controller The contro ller (AW -RP50) can perform the foll owing operations.

- 6 - Y ou can t urn on th e unit or set it t o standby mode on the web se tting scr een or by the wireless remot e controller or the controller . ≥ When the AC adapt er is connected , the unit is aut omatically set to st andby mode an d the status display lamp of the unit lig hts orange.
- 7 - Operating using the controller ∫ Operat e each unit 1 Hold down CAMERA ST A T US/SELECTIO N button 1 to 5. ≥ The upper row of th e LCD panel displays the camer a name, and the lower row display s [POW ER ON] or [POW ER OFF ].
- 8 - (when oper ating selected group s) T urn the F2 dial to s elect [GROUP ON] or [GROUP OF F], and press the F2 dial. ∫ Switch to S t andby Mode With t he USER Button Register ing [POWER O FF] to t he USER but tons (USER1, USER2) and holding down t he USER button will switch all co nnected cameras to St andby mode.

- 10 - 6 Pr ess the 3 / 4 / 2 / 1 buttons to select [EXIT] and press the enter button to com plete the menu s ettings. ≥ The MENU button c an also be pressed to complet e the menu setti ngs. T o get back to th e previous screen Select [ ] and then pre ss the enter butt on.
- 1 1 - 5 R otate the F1 dial to sele ct each item and press the F1 dial to set it. 6 Pres s and hold the CAMERA O SD button for 2 seconds to complete the menu s ettings. ≥ T urn the F1 dial and sele ct [EXIT], and pre ss the F1 dial to complete t he menu settings.

- 15 - When colora tion (white balance) is unna tural due to a light source or the like, set it manually . ≥ This adjustmen t must be performed when us ing the unit for the fi rst time or when the unit has not bee n used for a prolonge d period. ≥ It must be performe d when the lighting condit ions or brightn ess has changed.
- 16 - 3 C lick the [Image ] tab on th e Image screen. 4 Clic k [Setup] (Imag e adjust). ≥ The Image adjus t screen opens in a sep arate window . 5 Sele ct your desire d [A WB Mod e]. ≥ Select a suit able mode by looking at t he coloration on the s creen.

- 19 - Adjust the br ightness of the imag e. This unit can be us ed by switching bet ween auto mode and manual mode. Auto mode: Brightne ss is adjust ed automatica lly to suit the area of shooting. Manual mode: Adjust the br ightness when t aking images in area s that are too bright (or too dark).
- 20 - Operating using the controller The unit switches between auto mode and manual mod e each time the IRIS-AUTO button is pressed. ≥ Auto mode is on when t he IRIS-AUTO but ton lights up, and manual mode is on when it turns o ff. IRIS dial : The image becomes dark er when rotati ng the dial toward A in manual mode.
- 21 - Y ou can c ut a porti on of a camera image and display s it on a small sc reen (PinP: Picture i n Picture ) in the main screen. ≥ Y ou can change the PinP ret rieval position, perform zoom operation s for a PinP image, and ch ange the P inP displ ay positi on.
- 22 - Switching the Control Mode Y ou can switch the contr ol mode to main screen or PinP while a PinP image is displaye d. Main screen control mode: Y ou can o perate the main screen (zoom, p an/tilt). PinP control m ode: Y ou can change the Pi nP retrieval posit ion, and perform zo om operations fo r a PinP image.
- 23 - Changing the PinP Retrieval Position ≥ Set the control mode to PinP . ( l 22) 1 O pen the Live scr een. 2 Clic k or drag the co ntrol pad/ buttons. ≥ The op eration meth od is the same as the pan/tilt o perations. ( l 12) ≥ The PinP retr ieval frame moves and th e retrieval pos ition changes.
- 24 - Zooming in and out on a PinP image ≥ Set the control mode to PinP . ( l 22) 1 O pen the Live scr een. 2 O perate the zo om buttons. ≥ The operation s are the same as the main screen zoom opera tions.
- 25 - Changing the PinP Display Position Y ou can c hange the PinP displa y positio n to the Upp er Right , Lower Right , Uppe r Lef t , or Lower Lef t area of the main screen . 1 O pen the Live scr een. 2 Pull down [PinP Position ] and selec t your desir ed display pos ition.

- 38 - Y ou can set an authe ntication p assword that a user is asked to enter when th e web setting screen or the S etup scr een appears. Aft er entering a pas sword in the [Password] field, re-e nter the passwo rd in the [Retype passw ord] field to preve nt input errors.
- 39 - Networ k screen Y ou can con figure the network set tings for the unit. ≥ Afte r changing settin gs, click [Set]. Y ou can set whet her to use th e DHCP function. T o p revent computers that d o not use DHCP function an d other network cameras from usin g the same IP address, set t he DHCP server .
- 40 - Input the unit’ s subnet mask here if the DHCP function is not used. ≥ This func tion’s def ault settin g is [255.255.255 .0]. Input the unit ’s defaul t gateway here if the DHCP function is not used. ≥ This func tion’s defaul t setting is [192 .

- 44 - Setting Using the Ca mera Menu ≥ The followi ng items can only be set from th e camera menu: Y ou can set whether to show the menu screen and th e status dis play of the White Bala nce Setting when th e unit receives a tal ly light-up sign al.

- 47 - Web s etting screen Problem Check p oint s The web setting screen cannot be accessed . ≥ T ur n on th e unit or set i t to Standby m ode. ≥ Check if a valid IP address is set for th e unit. ≥ Aft er changing the IP add ress of the unit, enter [http:/ / Post -change IP a ddress/] i nto the address ba r of the web brow ser .
- 48 - The settings on the web setting screen or the image on the cam era is not updated or displayed properly . ≥ The unit’ s ports may be filtere d by the firewall or other function of the anti-virus software. Change the HTTP port number of th e unit to a port number whic h w i ll not be filtered.
- 49 - Vid eo Problem Check p oint s No pictures are displ ayed or the picture s are disturbed. ≥ Check if the unit is correc tly connected with other devices. ≥ If your sys tem is configured in such a way that a displayed im age is automatically switche d in conjunction with your ca mera selection, s elect the cor rect camera.
