8 2. Prep aration 2.1 Inst alling/Replacing the Batteries 1. Remove th e batter y cover b y pulling it of f i n the d irection of th e arrow . 2. Insert two “AAA” alk aline (LR03) batte ries in the ba ttery c ompart- ment. Make sure thei r polarity (+/–) is aligne d with the po larity ( +/–) as ind icat ed in th e batte ry com part- ment.
9 2.Prep aration EN Battery Life & Replacement If the battery low symbol ( ) appears on the display , replace both batteries at the same time. - When the battery low symbol ( ) starts to blink, you will still be able to use t he unit for a short while.
10 2.Prep aration 2.2 Setting the Date and T ime Y our bloo d pressure monitor automatic ally stores up t o 90 measure- ment values in it s memory and c alculates an ave rage value based on the last three mea surements. If the cor rect dat e and time has not been set, the measure ment values will not be stored in memo ry .

12 3. Usi ng the Moni tor 3.1 Applying the Wris t Cuff Y ou can take a measurem ent on eit her your left or right wrist. Notes: • Y ou can take a measurem ent on either your left or right wrist. The blood pressure can differ between your right and left wrist and therefore also the measured blood pressure values can be different.
13 3.Us ing the Monitor EN 3. Hold the bottom p art of the wrist cuff and wrap it around the wrist while pulling so that it fit s comfortably . Make sure that the wrist cuf f does not cover the protrud ing pa rt of the wrist bone (ulna) on the o utside of t he wrist .

Hold your ar m across your chest so that you r fingers are t ouching th e opposite shoulde r bone. Adjust the heig ht of your wrist until the positi on sensor alarm beeps slowl y .
