11 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o star t the tool, simply pull the s witch tr igger .
12 Installing or remo ving driver bit or socket bit Use only the driver bit or soc ket bit shown in the figure . Do not use any other driv er bit or sock et bit. T o install the bit, pull the slee ve in the direction of the arrow and inser t the bit into the slee ve as f ar as it will go.
13 The proper f astening torque differs depending upon the kind or size of the scre w/bolt, the mater ial of the workpiece to be f astened, etc. Refer to the figure f or the relation between f as- tening time and wood scre w size. (Material to be fastened: Lauan) NO TE: • Use the proper bit f or the head of the screw/bolt that you wish to use.
14 Use a screwdriv er to remove the brush holder caps. T ake out the worn carbon br ushes, inser t the new ones and secure the brush holder caps. After replacing brushes, inser t the batter y cartr idge into the tool and break in brushes by running tool with no load for about 1 minute .
