26 Installation 3 Installation Configur ation menu The featur es and options of the DVR are congured through the menu. The operations of this unit can be set via a menu displayed on the main monitor .
Installation 27 3 Installation Syst em settings Properties • DVR Name: Enter the DVR name using up to 20 characters. • Language: Select a language for the setup menu and information display . • Button Beep: Marks up to activate the button beep.
28 Installation 3 Installation Network Stre aming • Ch: Displays the channel number . • Resolution: Selects the recording resolution. Each gr oup such as “Ch1 to Ch8” and “Ch9 to Ch16” are set the same resolution. • Quality : Selec ts the recording picture quality .

30 Installation 3 Installation Backup • P ar tition Selection: Selec t a backup par tition. • Schedule: Y ou can set the backup schedule. - OFF: All options are disabled . - WEEKL Y or DAIL Y: The backup data will be automatically saved according t o the setting.
Installation 31 3 Installation NO TE • The disc burning is carried out by a single session closed format. • If you use the CD/DVD writer device for backup, it is making ISO image and then writing the backup data to the CD/DVD. • Y ou can see the backup progress status on the system contr ol bar .
32 Installation 3 Installation • PTZ T est: Af ter the PTZ setting, you can t est the pan/tilt function for the selected PTZ camera. Y ou can see the test screen from the preview windows on the right side of the PTZ test option. - b / B : T est the pan direction.
Installation 33 3 Installation Stor age • Over write: - ALL: Over write recording is possible when the normal partition and e vent partition of HDD have fully recorded. - NORMAL P AR TITION: Over write recording is possible for normal par tition of HDD when the normal par tition of HDD has fully recorded .
34 Installation 3 Installation Channel Composition • Ch: Displays the channel number . • Name: Selects the desired channel. Y ou can set the IP channel only one time. Video Adjustment Adjust the brightness, contrast and color settings of each camera channel.

The color of the cell blocks will change automatically . • Gray : No schedule recording . • Green (Continuous r ecording): Recording starts automatically from the pr eset time.
36 Installation 3 Installation Checking the Special Day Schedule List 1. Press [ZOOM -] when the [SP] butt on is selected. The special day scheduled list appears. 2. S elect a special day title on the list and press ENTER. The title color turns orange.
Installation 37 3 Installation • Quality : Selec ts the recording picture quality • F rame Rate: Selec ts the frame rate. The frame rate is the number of recorded frames per second . According to r esolution, the frame rate is set automatically .

NO TE • Y ou can select the motion detection area by using the mouse. - T o select the area: Drag & drop a cell to the right to select the motion detection area.

Operation 43 4 Operation Instant R ecording Images from a camera will be recorded on the built-in har d disk. Ensure all the cameras are connected and that time and date ha ve been set correctly.
44 Operation 4 Operation Instant Playback It is possible to play a recorded image without stopping r ecording. 1. S elect a channel you want to playback. 2. Press bB (Play) button to pla y a recorded image of the pr evious 1 or 2 minutes of recor ding.
