14 • Is your pri nter connec ted to your computer thr ough an e xter nal device, such a s a USB hub, s witch b ox, scanner, or f ax ma chine? I f not , refer to “Setup T roubleshooting” on page 15 for help. If it is , f ol low thes e ste ps: 1 Disconne ct your pr inter from any extern al devices.
15 Setup T r oubleshooting Use this section to solve problems you may hav e while s ettin g up your pri nter . The Sear ch Results: No Prin ter Attach ed screen appeared. Note: Y our screen ma y ap pear sligh tly different from t he one shown depen ding on your operatin g system.
16 2 Press the power button (see page 2). The car tridge carrier did not mo ve to the center . If the car tri dge car rier d id not m ov e to the cen ter when you op ened th e front cover , first make sure the power light is on. If the p ower light is on, the car tridge c arr ier may hav e st alled.
17 4 Reinser t CD– 2. A Lexmark prin ter software install ation sc reen si milar to the one shown in step 8 on page 11 s hould app ear . If the Lexmark pr inte r software i nstallat ion screen does not appear, continue wit h step 5. If you do see a scree n simil ar to the o ne abov e, click Install N ow , and t hen co ntinue with s tep 6.

T o install the pr inter software: 1 Unplug the USB cable fro m your computer. 2 Plug the US B ca ble back into your co mputer . 3 Click Next on the Add New Hardware screen. 4 On the Sp ecify loca tion screen, t ype “C:W INDOWSINFUSB.
