Reference: If th e TS - 990S is connected to the P C usi ng a US B cable, audio transm i s sion input and output are poss i bl e using the USB audio f unction, but the many s ignal conversions c ause inherently unavoid able delays.
4.3. T ransceiver Sett ings Perform the require d s ettings to implement K NS operations using trans c eivers. ● Set the trans mitting audio input path settings With KNS operations , normally trans mitted audio is i nput from an ACC2 connect or .
● Audio I/O l evel settings Use the following m enu t o adjust audio trans m i ssion input levels f rom the PC, and receive audio out put levels to the P C.
● T imeout timer set tings During KNS operat ions, control data signals are t ra nsmitted us ing the network. Consequently , if normal network oper ations are disabl ed f or any reason, c ont rol of the transceiver will al so be disabled.
4.4. Setting T ransmission Methods for Audio I nput to the ACC2 Connector The PTT of the microphone connected t o t he TS - 990S, and the [SEND] key on the TS - 990S control panel, are the method s for transmitting audi o i nput from the mic rophone connected to the TS - 990S .
● T ransmittin g using the PF keys alloca ted to the DA T A SEN D funct i on If the DA T A SEND function has been alloc ated to a PF key , operating the PF key enables audio input f rom the ACC2 connector to be t ransmitted. For details, refer to "All ocat i ng DA T A SEND Function to PF Keys".
4.5. Setting a Broadb and Route r When implementi ng KNS operations vi a t he internet, it is neces sary to set the broadba nd router connec ted to the host station. Perform the set t ings to transmit c ont rol data signals and audio transmis sions via the internet from the broadb and router to the hos t station PC.
4.6. Software Installation and Sett i ngs Install the software required for KNS operat ions on the host station PC and the remote station PC, then perform the requi r ed settings . ● Host station PC Download and ins tall the ARHP - 990 onto the PC from the K ENWOOD website: http://www .
