11 Basic Operations The following operations are commonly used when you play any sound sources. Operations hereafter will be explained using the b uttons on the front panel. Y ou can also use the buttons on the remote control for the same functions if the y have the same and similar names/mar ks.

14 DIGITAL AUTO DOLBY DIGITAL DTS SURROUND Attenuating the Input Signal When the input le vel of the analog source is too high, the sounds will be distorted. If this happens, you need to attenuate the input signal lev el to prev ent the sound distortion.
15 The f ollowing basic operations are possible only using the remote contr ol. Reinforcing the Bass This function is only for RX-6040B/RX-6042S. Y ou can boost the bass lev el. • Once you have made adjustment, it is memor ized for each source. Press B ASS BOOST to boost the bass level.
