Welcome 2 41-001452-05 REV01 – 04.2014 Requirements The 6737i IP Phone requires the following environment: • SIP-based IP PBX syst em or networ k installed and running with a SIP account created for the 6737i phone.
41-001452-05 REV01 – 04.2014 3 Getti ng S tarted The 6737i must be set up and be configured prior to its fi rst use. T his sec tion describes phone behavior and start up screens y ou may see when the phone is first plugged in, or when it is restarted.
Getting Started 4 41-001452-05 REV01 – 04.2014 The 6737i phone then checks settings and looks for new configuration and firmware updates f or the phone from a server . If a new update is found , the phone display s the message “ Updating C onfiguration ” .

The Xfer key allows a call to be tran sferred to other recipients blindly or consultatively .
