6 1. INTRODUCTION 1-1 Precautions for Proper Use ● Supply v oltage Make sure that the po w er is between 11 V and 15 V DC. If the power v oltage is too low , abnor mal color and increased noise may occur . Do not e xceed 15 V DC in any case , or the unit could be damaged.
8 1. INTRODUCTION Please use cleaning tape produced by JVC . Adhere to the follo wing precautions when using the head cleaning tape. 1. Place the unit in the ST OP mode. 2. The tape runs for 10 seconds at a time in the PLA Y mode. (The tape stops automatically and then the unit enters the SA VE MODE.

62 10. TIME CODE OPERA TION 10-1 Displaying Time Code The GY -D V5000 records SMPTE-standard time codes and user’s bits. In the play mode or the record mode, the reproduced time codes or user’s bits are sho wn on the LCD monitor or in the vie wfinder.
