8 Quick Start Guide 4. Installing the SIM Car d and Battery Make sure your device is turned off befor e installing the SIM card and battery. Y ou also need to remo ve the back cov er before y ou can install these components. T o remov e the back cover Hold the device securely with the front facing down.
Quick Start Guide 9 T o install the battery Align the battery ’ s exposed copper contacts with the battery connectors inside the battery compar tment. Inser t the contact’ s side of the battery first and then gently push the battery into place. Replace the back cover .
10 Quick Start Guide 5. Charging the Ba ttery New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before y ou star t using your device, it is r ecommended that you install and charge the battery. T o charge the batt ery Connect the USB connector of the AC adapter to the sync connector at the bottom of your device .
Quick Start Guide 11 Auto c onfigure data connection settings After the device restarts, you will be asked if you want to automa tically configure your devic e’ s data connections. Follo w the onscreen instruc tions to go through the configuration process so that you do not need to enter the settings for 3G/GPRS, MMS, and WAP manually .
12 Quick Start Guide 7. The T ouchFLO™ H ome Screen Y our device ’ s main screen is the T ouchFLO™ Home scr een which allows finger-touch acc ess to the most impor tant functions such as favorite contacts, t ext messages, e-mail, Internet, and more.
Quick Start Guide 13 T o switch between the tabs of the Home scr een Do one of the following: T ouch or tap the desired tab on the Home screen. Press Na vigation Right or Left. Press and hold y our finger on the ac tive tab, then slide y our finger right or left over the tabs.
14 Quick Start Guide 8. Making Y our First Call T o place a call 1. P ress the T ALK/SEND button to open the Phone screen. 2. T ap the keys on the keypad to enter the phone number . Tip If you tapped a wrong number , tap to erase each subsequent digit of a number .
Quick Start Guide 15 9. Entering Information When you need to enter t ex t, choose one of the available onscreen input methods. Here ar e some examples of onscreen input methods. T ap the Up arrow icon to open a selection menu and choose the desired input method.
16 Quick Start Guide 10. Basic Settings Customize y our device settings to suit your personal needs . Ring tone Press T ALK/SEND to open the Phone screen and then tap Menu > Options . Fr om the R ing tone list, select the desired ring tone and then tap OK .
Quick Start Guide 17 Phone profile A profile is a preset that determines ho w your device will alert you when there are inc oming phone calls. T o selec t a profile: On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap Sounds . Choose one of the following: Normal , V ibrate , Silent , or Automatic .
18 Quick Start Guide Device lock Enabling device lock requires y ou to enter a password to unlock your device after it has been left idle for a set period of time. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings . On the Personal tab , tap Lock .
Quick Start Guide 19 Select the Require PIN when phone is used check box. Enter your PIN number and then tap OK . Backlight and battery saving settings Conserve battery power by adjusting backlight and battery saving settings. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings .
20 Quick Start Guide 11. Adding F avorite C ontac ts On the Home screen ’ s People tab, y ou can add up to 12 favorite contacts. This allows y ou to quickly make calls, send text messages, and send e-mails to contacts who you most frequently communicate with.
Quick Start Guide 21 T o add fav orite contacts to the People tab On the Home screen, slide to the P eople tab. T ouch an empty slot on the screen and then select a desired contact. Select a phone number or e -mail address to associate to your favorite c ontac t.
22 Quick Start Guide 12. Sending a T ext Message Easily create and send SMS text messages from y our device. 1. On the Home screen, slide t o the Messages tab and tap . 2. In the T o field, enter the mobile phone number of the person you want to send the message to .

T o connect your devic e with a Bluetooth stereo headset Make sure that both your device and the Bluetooth stereo headset are turned on and within close range , and that the headset is visible.

Se non hai ancora comprato il HTC 3G è un buon momento per familiarizzare con i dati di base del prodotto. Prime consultare le pagine iniziali del manuale d’uso, che si trova al di sopra. Dovresti trovare lì i dati tecnici più importanti del HTC 3G - in questo modo è possibile verificare se l’apparecchio soddisfa le tue esigenze. Esplorando le pagine segenti del manuali d’uso HTC 3G imparerai tutte le caratteristiche del prodotto e le informazioni sul suo funzionamento. Le informazioni sul HTC 3G ti aiuteranno sicuramente a prendere una decisione relativa all’acquisto.
