34 B. Control Boar d Check Bef or e r eplacing CB that does not sho w a visib le def ect and that y ou suspect is bad, alw ay s conduct the follo wing chec k pr ocedur e. This procedur e will help you v erify your diagnosis. Alar m R eset: If CB is in alar m (beeping), press the "ALARM RESET" b ut ton on CB while CB is beeping.
35 C. Bin Control Chec k and Cleaning This icemaker uses a BC with a le v er -actuated pr oximity s witch t o contr ol the ice le vel in the stor age bin. No adjustment is requir ed. 1 . Bin Control Check T o check BC , follo w the st eps belo w . 1) T ur n of f the power suppl y .
36 2. Bin Control Cleaning Scale ma y b uild up on BC . Scale can cause the actuator paddle and magnet t o stick. In this case, BC should be cleaned. W ARNING CHOKING HAZARD: Ensure all components , fast eners, and thumbscr ews ar e securel y in place af t er the icemak er is ser viced.
37 D . Float S witch Check and Cleaning F/S is used to det er mine that there is suf ficient w ater in the wat er tank af ter the 1 -minute ll c y cle and af ter each harvest cy cle. F/S is also used to det er mine that the appr opriate v olume of wat er has been conv er ted int o ice befor e switching out of the fr eez e cy cle.

48 VI. Cleaning and Maintenance This icemaker m ust be cleaned and maintained in accor dance with the instr uction manual and labels pr o vided with the icemak er . Consult with your local Hoshizaki C er ti ed Ser vice R epr esentativ e about cleaning and maintenance ser vice.
49 1 . Cleaning Procedur e 1) Dilute 22 . oz. (650 ml) of Hoshizaki "Scale A wa y" with 4 gal. (1 5 l) of warm water . 2) Remo ve all ice fr om the e vaporat or and the dispenser unit/storage bin. Note: T o r emov e cubes on the e v aporat or , tur n of f the po wer suppl y and turn it back on af ter 3 minut es.
