14 7) Startup–"PO WER OK" LED is on: Mov e the power s witch to the "ON" position, then mov e the control s witch to the "ICE" position. CB "POWER OK" LED is on. "PO WEROK" LED Diagnosis: Chec k that CB "PO WER" LED is on.
15 9) Ice Pur g e Cy cle – "GM" LED is on. UFS closes (WV de-ener gizes) and "WTRIN" LED tur ns of f . 5-sec. GM delay timer and 30-min. FZT star t. 5-sec. GM delay timer terminates . GM and GMPR energize . 5-min. IPT star ts. GM runs for 5 min.
16 1 2) Drain Cy cle – "FLUSH" (dr ain) LED is on. IMPORT ANT ! Drain valv e will not energize unless the safety s witch is engaged. The appliance is f actory set to drain the e v aporat or and reservoir once e very hour for 2 seconds .
17 1 3) Shutdown –Bin lls and ice eng ages BC actuator paddle. 6 t o 1 0-sec. shutdown sequence begins. Diagnosis: Chec k that BC actuator paddle is activ ated and not sticking . Check BC pr oximity s witch continuity to conr m BC pr o ximity switch is open.
18 C. Control Boar d Check Bef ore r eplacing a CB that does not show a visib le def ect and that you suspect is bad, alw ay s conduct the follo wing check pr ocedure. This procedur e will help you v erify your diagnosis. Bef ore pr oceeding, chec k f or proper v oltage per appliance nameplate .
19 2) 5VDC Output Checks: There ar e se ven 5VDC cir cuits on the appliance, "DRAIN" position through contr ol switch, high-pr essure s witch (HPS), gear motor pr otect rela y(GMPR), bin control (BC), oat s witch (FS), ice dispense s witch, and wat er dispense s witch.
20 c . Gear Mot or Pr otect Rela y (GMPR) CB K9 connector pins #5 (W/O) and #6(W/O): When GMPR is de-ener gized, GMPR terminals #3 and #5 are open and 5VDC is pr esent bet ween CBK9connector pin #5 (W/O) and CB r ed K4connector pin closest t o CBblac k K3 connector .

26 D . Bin Contr ol Check When the actuat or paddle is not engaged, BC is closed and the appliance pr oduces ice. S1 dip s witch 7 must be in the "OFF" position. When ice lls the chut e and engages the actuator paddle , BC opens and CB shuts down the appliance within 1 0 seconds.

41 1 . Refr igerant R ecov er y The appliance is pro vided with refrigerant access v alv es. Using proper r efr igerant practices , reco v er the refrigerant fr om the access v alv es and stor e it in an appro ved container . Do not discharge the r efrigerant into the atmospher e.
42 5) Disconnect the gauge manif old hose from the v acuum pump and at tach it t o a refrigerant service cylinder . Remember t o loosen the connection and purge the air fr om the hose. See the nameplate inside the appliance f or the requir ed refrigerant charge .
