1 1 W elcome Welcome to the br ight new world of the honor T1 (T1 for short). With your T1, y ou can: Surf the Internet at lightning - fast speeds. T ake photos and record videos anytime, anywhere. Enjoy the latest and hottest movies. Immerse yourself in an extraordinary audio experience.
2 2 Getting st art ed honor T1 at a Glance Congratulations on your purchase of the honor T1. Installatio n Press and hold the power ke y to power on or off your device or restart it. Press the power key once to turn on or off the screen. Y our T1 supp orts only standard micro -SIM cards.
3 Procedure 1. Open the SIM and microSD card slot cover. 2. Insert the SIM card with its gold contacts fa cing up, as indicated in the preceding figure. Push the card inw ard until it click s into place. 3. Insert the microSD card with its gold conta cts facing up, as indicated in the pr ec eding figure.
4 If the device is turned on, the battery i c on in the status bar changes to as a vi sual indication that the battery is charging. If the device is turned off , is displayed on the screen when the battery is c harging.
5 Your home screen at a glance Display area: Display widgets and app lication icons. Dock: Display your most frequently used applications. Back key: Touch to return to the previous screen. Home key: Touch t o go to the home screen. Recent key: Touch t o vie w re cent ly u s ed and running applications.

7 T o customise the home screen: T ouch and hold a blank area on the home screen. On the displayed option menu, set the w al lpaper , widgets, and more.
8 Flick down from the status bar t o open the notification p anel. Touch to dis play the settings screen. Touch the switch shortcuts on the notification panel to turn functions o n or off. Touch to dis play the switch shortcut list a nd touc h to edit it.
9 3 T ext input Y our T1 comes with multiple input methods. I t's easy to enter tex t using the onscreen keyboard. T ouch a text input field to bring up the onsc reen keyboard. When you are done, touch to hide t he onscreen keyboard. Editing Text Y ou can copy , cut, and paste text.
10 4 Network connection Connecting to a Wi - Fi networ k 1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Wi - Fi . 2. Touch the key next to Wi - Fi or dr ag the ke y to . Your T1 then automatically scans for available Wi - Fi networks. 3. Select the desired Wi - Fi network and follow the onscreen instructions.
11 5 Network sharin g Y ou can use various methods to share your T1's data connection with other wireless devices. Sharing your network using a Wi - Fi hotspot By setting up your T1 as a Wi - Fi hotspot, you can share your mobile network with other devices.
12 6 Managing applica tions Installing an appli cation Y ou can obtain and install an application using any of the follow ing methods: Download it from an online app store or by us ing a browser . After the application is downloaded, follow the onscree n i nstructi ons to insta ll it.
13 7 Email Adding an email account Email parameters must be s et when you add an email account. For detail s, contact your email service provider . 1. On the home screen, touch Email . 2. On the Add account screen, select the type of ac count that you want.
14 8 Multimedia Viewing photos or videos Gallery lets you conv enient ly view photos and videos. It au tomatically searche s for and organises the photos and videos stored on your T1's internal storage and the m icroSD card. 1. On the home screen, touch Gallery to open Gallery.
15 1. Touch Galler y and locate the photo you want to edi t. 2. Touch > Edit . Crop the photo or adjust its luminance an d c olour. 3. Touch S AVE . The edited photo is saved to the same folder as the original photo . Shari ng photos or videos Y ou can share photos and videos via Bluetooth or email.
16 9 Customised settings The T1 allow s you to use your fav o urite photo as the wallpaper , design home screen widgets, and set dif ferent ringtones. Changing the theme Y our T1 comes with multiple themes, al lowing you to change the look of your device as often as you w ant.
17 Adding widgets to the home screen Y ou can add widgets, such as the c alendar and bookmarks, to the home screen. 1. On the home screen, touch and hold a blank area. 2. In the displayed dialogue box, touch Widgets . 3. Touch and hold a widget, drag it to the desired position, then release it.
18 Managing your home screen 1. On the home screen, touch and hold a blank area. 2. In the displayed dialogue box, touch Thumbnails . 3. On the thumbnail screen, you can: T ouch and hold a home screen thumbnail to mov e its position. T ouch to add a ho me screen.
19 T ouch to delete a blank home screen. Setting the ringtone 1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Sound . 2. Select the desired ringtone type. 3. Follow the onscreen instructions to select your favourite m usic or recording as the ringtone.
20 Adjusting the screen bright ness Y our T1 incorporates a light sensor that can automatically adjust the screen brightness based on the ambient light. Y ou can also manually adjust the display brightness. 1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Display > Brightness .
21 10 File sharing Sharing files using Wi - Fi Direct Wi - Fi Direct is a function to connect wireless devices using a Wi - Fi network. After wireles s devices are connected, they can qui ckly share files among them. 1. On the home s cr een, t ouch Settings > Wi - Fi .
22 Connectio n Mode Function Operation Medi a device (MTP) On the computer, view and manage the files stored on y our T1 and the microSD card. Using Windows Media Player 11 or a later version on the computer, view and manage the multimedia files stored on your T1 and the microSD card.
23 11 Cont acts Creating a cont act 1. On the home screen, touch Contacts to display your contacts list. 2. Touch . 3. Enter your contact's information, such as name, phone nu mber, and email address. 4. Touch Add another fi eld to add more i nformation.
24 Backing up contacts Y ou can back up your contact s to a microSD card in case your contact s are accidentally deleted or lost. 1. On the home screen, touch Contacts to display your contacts list. 2. Touch > M ore > Manage contacts . 3. Touch Export to sto rage .
25 12 Calls Making an emergency call In the event of an emergency , you can make emergency calls w i thout a SIM card. Howev er , you must still be within mobile c overage. 1. On the home screen, touch Dialler . 2. Enter a local emergency number and touch .
26 13 Messaging Searching for a message Lots of messages a nd looking for one in p art icular? This handy function makes it easy to find that elusive message. 1. On the home screen, touch Messaging . 2. Touch > Search . 3. Enter a k eyword in the search box.
27 14 Settings Setting the screen timeout period Y ou can set a screen timeout period so that y our T1 automatically turns the screen of f to save power . 1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Display > Sleep . 2. Choose a timeout period. Setting a screen lock 1.
