ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call toll-free 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
7 2. Attach a Wheel (92) to the Base (85) with a 3/8" x 2 1/4" Bolt (6) and a 3/8" Nut (5). Do not over- tighten the Nut; the Wheel must turn freely. 2 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. With the help of a second person, carefully tip t he treadmill onto its left side.
8 3. Identify the Right Upright (112), which is marked with a “Right” sticker. Have a second person hold the Right Upright near the Base (85) as s hown. S e e th e i ns et d r aw in g. Ti e the wire tie in the Right Upright (112) securely around the end of the Upright Wire (79).
9 5. With the help of a second person, carefully tip the treadmill onto its right side. Partially fold the Frame (54) so that the treadmill is more stable. D o not fully fold the Frame until the treadmill is completely assembled. Have a second person hold the Left Upright (111) against the Base (85), with the Left Upright positioned as shown.
10 7. Tighten two #10 x 1/2" Bolts (11) with two #10 S tar Washers (3) into the Left and Right Handrails (106, 107). See assembly step 6. Tighten the four #8 x 3/4" Screws (1). Do not overtighten the Screws. 7 Console Assembly 11 3 11 3 1 07 106 8.
1 1 10. Par ti all y ti ght en s ix 5/ 16 " x 1" Bo lt s (12 ) with four 5/16" Star Washers (4) into the Right Upright (112) and the console assembly as shown; do n ot tighten the Bolts yet. R epeat this step on the left side of the tread- mill.
12 14. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. Keep the included hex keys in a secure place. One of the hex keys is used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 26 and 27). To protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the treadmill.
13 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.

15 HOW TO TU RN ON THE P OWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.
16 4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired. To change the incline of t he treadmill, press the Incline increase and de- c rease buttons or one of the One Touch Incline buttons. If you press the Incline increase or de- crease button, the incline will change by 0.
17 The left and right displays can show the approxi- mate total number of calories you have burned and total number of miles the walking belt has moved. T o see the total number of miles and calories, press the Total button. The total number of calories w ill be shown in hundreds of calories.

22 THE INFORMATION MODE The console features an information mode that keeps t rack of the total number of miles or kilometers that the walking belt has moved and the total number of hours t hat the treadmill has been operated. The information mode allows you to choose an audio setting for your iFit workouts.

24 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the frame with your right hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. It may be necessary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the left. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
25 TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and f ollow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on S OLUTION: a.
26 Raise the Uprights (111, 112) to the vertical position. Remove the three #8 x 3/4" Screws (1) from the Motor Hood (63), and carefully pivot the Motor Hood off. Locate t he Reed Sw itch (65 ) and the Ma gnet (49 ) on the left s ide of the P ulley (5 1).
27 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking be lt is off- center , remove th e key and U NPLUG T HE POWER C ORD.

29 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you stretch—never bounce. 1. Toe Touch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible.
