7 Power Supply AC (Mains) Operation • Only use the supplied AC (mains) unit NR 90-1 for the set. • Adjust the local mains voltage on the AC ( mains) unit. 220... 240 V 110 ... 127V • Connect t h e mains u nit to t h e D C I N 9 V s o c k e t (30) ( 3 0 ) .
8 Attention • Remove exhausted bat teries immediat ely from the unit! • If the unit is not to be u sed for l onger periods, remove batteries even if they are new! - No responsibility can be accepted for damage due to leaking batteries.

13 ROM Table of th e Yacht Boy 500 When re ceiving FM statio ns wh ich are nor mally s uppose d to service relatively small areas, you can expect an equally g oo d reception quality a ll over th e day. With some restrictions, this applies also for local LW and MW stations.
14 Calling Up ROM Table Memory Locations For calling up stations sto red in the RO M table, you must enter the code numbe r (station code) give n in the list below. This means that you must alwa ys enter a zero followed by the number and confirm the entry by pressing the M E MO RY button (6).

19 S t o r i n g i n M e m o r y General What can You Store? You can programme up to 40 station memory locations in random order, a lso mixed from the 4 wave bands FM - M W -L W- SW. You can store in memory ea ch frequency you h ave tuned to. The assoc iated operatin g states ( mono/stere o, LSB/US B) are automatically stored with the frequency.
20 Checking the Desired Station Memory Position To avoid accidentally erasing an already stored stat ion be, y o u can call up the memory location you wish to use and ch ec k it b e f o r e you store it in mem ory.

22 The MEMORY Button (Memory Sc a n ) This button allows yo u to call u p occupied memory l ocations one after the other: Brie f pressu re on the butt o n = memory locati on numbers up, lo ng e r pressure on the button = memor y location numbe rs down.
23 Going to Sleep to Radio T h e SLEE P button allows you to enter a "go-to-sleep time" (time the radio will still play) of up to 60 minut es. • Press the S L E E P b u t t o n . - The unit is switched on. • Rep eated pressures on the S LE E P b ut t o n i n cr e a s e t h e p lay in g time in 10-minutes steps (up to 60 minutes).
24 The Clock • The timeout (period during which you must complete e ach e n t r y ) o f a p p r o x . 60 seconds a p p l i e s a l s o f o r t h e c l o c k . • You can enter times whe ther the radio i s switched o n or o f f . • You can enter clock times and switching times in several different wa ys.
25 Automatic Functions Timer ½ • Repeatedly press the M O D E bu tt on t o se l ec t th e d es ir ed w a k e - u p (alarm) mode: = wake-up by radio program me. Y ou hear the selected station. = wake-up (al arm) by alarm signal. The radio stat io n i s muted and an alarm signal sounds instead.
26 • The alarm mod e or must be selected. • Enter the desired s wi t ch - on t im e. • As the alarm signal has a fixed duration of 5 minutes, it is no t necessary to enter the OFF time.

28 Special Functions on FM The RDS-Q specia l functi on remai ns effe ctive for approx. 1 minute and then automatically switches to the indication of the programm e chain na me. It is also possible to switch the RDS-Q indication to the progr a m m e c h a i n name indication by pressing t h e LSB/USB b u t t o n o n c e a g a i n .
29 Special Functions on AM SSB (Single Side Ba nd) Reception on SW ... is a n a d d i t i o n a l f u n c ti o n t o " n o r m a l " r a d i o r e ce p t i o n . • Switch the radio o n and sele ct a S W amateur band (SSB stations are mainly bro a dcasted on these bands).
