9 IR REMOTE CONTROL Installin g the Batter y The Remote C ontrol unit ships with two batteries. O ne batter y is required f or operation and the other batter y is a spare. 1. R emove the batter y cover on the back o f the IR Remote C ontrol unit. 2. Insert the included batter y into the open batter y slot.

1 3 D IP SWITCH CONFIGURA TIO N Sender Uni t DIP Switch 2 - Field-Upgrade Mode (Default = OFF) • ON - Enable Field Upgrade Mode (V ALENS chip) Allows the fi rmware to be up g raded on the Receiver unit. I f DIP switch 6 and / or 7 are in the O N position, R S -232 cannot be extended.

Each o f these DIP switch per f orms a d i ffe r e nt fu n c ti o n. DIP Switch 1 - EDID Mode ( Default = OFF ) • ON - Pass-Through Mode N DD C and HPD are passed throu g h.
