P ow er connection Before connecting an y cables t o t he printer ensure that the power cable is not connect ed. The printer is eq uipped with serial connections: 300-115 000 baud (COM 1, COM 2).
A26618-A ENG Changing media Base model The printer stops aut omatically when it is out of media. This is indicated b y an LED, the status lamp will indicate red. - T urn the release leve r t o lif t t he printhead. - Remo v e t he r oll guide and t he em pty media spool if applicable.

A26618-A ENG Accessories Print Head Diagnostic (PHD) Printers with an article number of 645130.02 or later can be equipped with PHD-Print Head Diagnostic. PHD w arns against missing dots on the print head. PHD requires Labelpoint 4.49 or later versions.
A26618-A ENG Accessories Parallel cable The par allel cable con verts data from parallel t o ser ial communication. The MP Compact4 is not equipped with a parallelport, but wit h the help of the cable, information can be sent via the com puter’s parallel port.
